This is a photograph of William East His wife was Elizabeth prbably taken in the Congregational Chapel at Brierfield,He is the father of Mary Jane Haworth nee East.As can be seen by the heading his name was William his second wife was called Sophia and they brought up Eliza who was born before the daughter Mary Jane was married, William was born in 1832 and Sophia in 1832.

This is one of William East's sons Samuel.born 1862 his wife was called Ellen and she was born in the same year they had no children.

The workplace was behind the old Star cinema and the Wigglesworth arms public house Brierfield.

The two women in the centre of this picture are left Alice East and right Mary Jane East sisters to Samuel above.
Alice married Ebenezer Astin they had one son Clifford.
Mary Jane Married Henry Haworth and went on to have thirteen children with three being still born.
